Competition II & III Agility Training Class


If you are interested in competing in agility or training at the competition level, this class is for you.  It is taught by Catie Williams, one of the most capable trainers and agility competitors in this area.

Training Skills
Continue learning more about a training method that's the worldwide standard in agility...positive, reward-based training.

Handling Skills for Competition Level II
For dogs that are already competing in the Novice/Starters or Open/Advanced levels or dogs that have been training at or above those levels.  Dogs must be able to run full sequences off lead.  Focus will be on fine tuning contact, weave pole and jumping performance, building speed with control and advanced handling skills.

Handling Skills for Competition Level III
For dogs that are already competing in the Open/Advanced or Excellent/Masters levels or have been training at an Excellent/Masters level.  Focus will be on course analysis, handling options, and fine tuning speed with control performance.

Obstacle Skills
Competion level obstacles will be the focus.

Sequence Skills
You will run sequences with your dog.

The Class
Six consecutive Thursday nights, 7:15-8:15 PM for Competition Level II Classes and 6:00 - 7:00 PM for Competition Level III Classes

Fees
$150 ($140 for Cape Cod Kennel Club members). We offer a one-time $5 discount if you adopted your dog from a shelter or rescue group. Refunds are given if the class is full or under-subscribed, otherwise, fees are non-refundable. Please feel free to stop by (without your dog) and watch a class before you enroll.

Prerequisites
Your dog should be training and/or competing at the Novice/Starters or Open/Advanced levels for Level II and should already be competing or training in Open/Advanced or Excellent/Masters Levels.  Please call Heather Garre at 508-896-0126 or cell 508-736-3202 if you have any questions about your readiness for this class.

Dogs must be up-to-date on their rabies shots and able to withstand the rigors of agility (please talk with your vet before you enroll if you have ANY concerns).

Registration
Class size is limited and pre-class registration is required. Send a completed Registration Form, a copy of your dog's rabies vaccination record, and a check for the training fee to the contact on the registration form. If claiming the one-time $5 rescue discount, enclose proof of adoption.
