Foundation 2 Class
On one hand, Teamwork 2 represents another step in building your team's repertoire of agility skills. On the other hand, it's a major step with an increased emphasis on YOUR handling skills.
Training Skills
At this level, we assume you are totally comfortable with and consistently use positive training techniques.
Handling Skills
While agility is always a matter of teamwork, Teamwork 2 begins to
emphasize your role as the team leader, and the handling and course
analysis skills you need efficiently, quickly, and accurately direct
your dog through increasingly complex sequences.
Obstacle Skills
Along with learning to respond to your evolving handling skills, your
dog will continue to work on the obstacle skills introduced in Teamwork
1.
Sequence Skills
The
Teamwork 2 sequences will test and proof your team's advancing
handling, obstacle, and course analysis skills, both in terms of their
length AND complexity.
The Class
Six consecutive Tuesday nights, at Never 2 Late Farm in Brewster.
Fees
$150 ($140 for Cape Cod Kennel Club members). We offer a one-time $5
discount if you adopted your dog from a shelter or rescue group.
Refunds are given if the class is full or under-subscribed, otherwise,
fees are non-refundable.
Prerequisites
Teamwork 1 or permission of Trainer. Dogs must be up-to-date on their
rabies shots. This class continues to step up the intensity of the
training and the physical demands on your dog and on YOU. If you have
any concerns about your team's physical condition, please check with
your vet/physician before you enroll.
Registration
Class size is limited and pre-class registration is required. Send a completed Registration Form,
a copy of your dog's rabies vaccination record, and a check for the
training fee to the contact on the registration form. If claiming the
one-time $5 rescue discount, enclose proof of adoption.
The First Class
Bring your dog, lots of small soft treats and/or your dog's agility
toy, and your clicker. Reduce the amount of food you feed your dog for
dinner.
